Yesterday!

I am so glad yesterday is over. I was an emotional wreck. We went to church and I felt like crying every five minutes. Not sure why unless I am having PMS. Most of it was self pity. I hate when I get that way sometimes. I wanted to leave after Sacrament Meeting but we ended up staying longer. In a way I am glad. The lesson in Sunday School was on Job. He had so much happen to him and he bore it so much better than I would have. I felt that it was ironic that I was in my self pity mode and though we are not suppose to compare our trials...Job had it a lot worse than I did. In Sacrament, the speaker talked about comparisons and how easy it is to compare our lives to others when in fact there is no comparison. We each have our own trials, our own weaknesses, and our own strengths. I know that I was just being a bit weepy for no reason. I have such a wonderful husband and son. I couldn't ask for anything better nor would ever want to lose either one. They are everything to me. I have much to be thankful for rather than wishing that the few things I desire to change just are not possible until I fix them myself.

A new dinner recipe

So I tried a new recipe last night, Creamy Turkey and Broccoli Casserole. It sounds fabulous but the end result was not so fabulous. I experimented with my new food processor and I may have chopped things a little too small. Needless to say it tasted horrible. I was so crushed because I wasted all that food. Mike was supportive and made Pancakes for dinner. I hate it when dinners don't turn out the way you think they should.

A Bicycle Ride

Yesterday, Mike put new seats on the bikes and we took Levi for a ride. It was so much fun. I absolutely loved it. Finally something we can do as a family outside that will promote some exercise for us both! Yeah!!!

Spiritual Uplift

Today was an excellent day. I really appreciated the sabbath today. I turned the tube off and just reflected for about 20 minutes on life. I then went to church with my hubby and active boy. Levi did fairly well other than throwing his truck under the bench a couple of times and using it to hit the bishop's wife in front of us. She took it well and even played a bit with him. I paid more attention to the talks and the lesson in Sunday School for a change. It was rather nice. Then I took Levi to the mother's lounge and rocked him to sleep for about 50 minutes so Mike could attend Priesthood. I love that little man. He's so cute when he sleeps. I can't imagine life without him or Mike. I am so blessed. Sometimes, I tend to get swept up in the little things when my biggest blessings are with me.

Irritations

I find that lately I am just plain irritated at things. My mood swings are a bit more now a days. I tend to be happy and upbeat one minute and just plain sulky the next. I wonder if it is the adjustment my body is going through with the medication changes. I don't know if it is the hot weather that just never seems to cool off. I don't know if it is that there is not much to look forward to as far as a vacation except to Las Vegas and yet it's not a vacation...it's a reunion. I just feel the blahs. Can't explain it.

I feel like I just don't know where all this is coming from. Hopefully time will heal whatever is causing these feelings. If I try to refocus my energy when I get it, maybe that will help. Sigh...I'll see.

A Fabulous Car

So yesterday I decided it was time to clean our car inside and out. It had been a long time since I cleaned the inside. Honestly, before Levi was born. So Mike pulled out his shop vac and I vacuumed the car. I wiped down the inside and some of it took a bit to get off. Mike had a soda accident awhile back. So I scrubbed and got all of it off. I wiped down the doors and every spot I could find. I worked on it a good two hours. Then Mike pressure washed the outside and I wiped down the window. I put in a nice new air freshener and my car looks like it did when I bought it. Clean inside and out. (Note: it rained just because we washed the car)

When I was done, I noticed my back hurt. I tried to work with it but it stiffened up fast. I must have tweaked a muscle at some point. So note to self; when you are ambitious and overdue it...consequence...back pain. It was worth it though. I love the smell and sight of clean!!!
